Dr. Shaila had an interest in dentistry beginning in her childhood years. From that time, her desire to serve others by providing dental care continued to grow and she has always maintained that same caring attitude and commitment. Her excellence in pre-dental studies allowed her early acceptance into dental school and she graduated from State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine with a DDS degree.

She graduated with concentration in Pediatric, Periodontics and Esthetic Dentistry. She has been honored with receiving the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Periodontics.

Dr. Shaila, has observed at BC Children’s Hospital, Vancouver and Supersmile Dentistry, New York under the guidance of Dr. Irwin Smigel, who has been referred to as the “Father of Aesthetic Dentistry”. She completed her externship in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Washington, Seattle and Esthetic Dentistry at Tufts University, Boston. She has been practicing as a General Dentist for several years with special interest in Children’s Dentistry, Esthetic Dentistry, and of course General Dentistry for all ages.
