CEREC In Victoria, BC | Dental Crowns In 1 Day
If a tooth has been affected by decay, damage, or trauma, restoring it promptly helps protect its strength, function, and long-term health. At Elements Dental, we use advanced CEREC® technology to design and create custom metal-free ceramic crowns in a single visit, allowing you to receive high-quality care without the need for multiple appointments.
Using computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM), the CEREC® system enables us to capture precise digital impressions, design your restoration, and mill your custom crown in our office. This digital workflow provides a comfortable experience while delivering a restoration that is carefully matched to the size, shape, and colour of your natural teeth.
Convenience
We understand that your time is valuable. By creating your crown in our office, CEREC® eliminates the need for temporary crowns and return visits, allowing your treatment to be completed in approximately one hour.
Natural-Looking Results
CEREC® crowns are crafted from high-quality metal-free ceramic materials that closely resemble natural tooth enamel. Each restoration is custom designed to blend seamlessly with your surrounding teeth while providing durable, long-lasting function.
Emergency Restoration
If an existing crown becomes damaged or fails unexpectedly, CEREC® technology allows us to restore your tooth quickly. In many cases, treatment can be completed in a single appointment, helping protect your tooth without the inconvenience of wearing a temporary crown.
The Treatment Process
Your treatment begins with preparing the affected tooth while preserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible. We then capture precise digital impressions, eliminating the need for traditional impression materials. These digital scans are used to design a custom crown that fits comfortably, functions properly, and blends naturally with your smile.
Once your restoration has been milled in our office, it is carefully bonded into place, allowing you to leave with a fully restored tooth during the same visit.
While CEREC® is an excellent option for many patients, some situations may require a laboratory-fabricated crown depending on your clinical needs and the most appropriate restorative material. During your examination, we will evaluate your oral health and recommend the treatment that best supports your long-term dental health.
