With orthodontics, we provide two types of braces. We provide clear aligners as well as traditional wire braces. The clear aligners is good for people who don't want anybody to know that they're actually getting braces. We also provide a second type of orthodontics called Tip-Edge braces, where these brackets can be metal or ceramic. It's good for patients who do not have the motivation to keep these clear aligners in place. These type of braces is superior to traditional type of braces in that we do not need head gear for movement. Quite often, the visits between visits are longer. Quite often, the treatments are much shorter. Orthodontics would be good for people who want straighter teeth. It could be that they have teeth that are showing too much, or teeth that are slightly bucked, or teeth that are too long and showing too much. Quite often, teenagers, anywhere between 12 and 16, receive braces because this is the time of the growth spurt, and this is the time when we get the best result in the quickest time possible. So typical duration of the orthodontic treatment could vary anywhere between four months to two years, but rarely over two years with our systems. The reason our systems are a little bit faster than others really has to do with the mechanics of our Tip-Edge braces. This brand of braces is different in that it is more efficient than traditional braces. The brackets are smaller. We need less forces to move teeth. And, on top of that, the duration of the whole treatment is shorter, and the intervals are longer, so that means less treatments between visits.
